2nd Austrian Prehistoric Tournament

In Styria,  the second Austrian tournament of the prehistoric european championships takes place on the last weekend of April. A combination of archery and spearthrowing will crown the local champion, you also have the option to participate in only one of the two events.

Archery Tournament 27th of April

Saturday afternoon the event kicks off with the archery tournament. Thirty targets will be shot at with three rounds of ten. 

Timetable

Registration starts on the 27th of April at 10 a.m. Registration fee: Archery only € 15,-, Archery + Atlatl € 25,-

Participation limit is 100 people.

End of registration 12:30 p.m.

Start of the archery tournament 13:00 p.m.

Deadline for submission of scorecards 16:30 p.m.

 

Men, women and children division  (children have not reached the age of 14 years at January 1st 2024)

 

One arrow per target, points one to five per targetface. Distances 8 - 26 meters.

 

Attention!  Your equipment must not have metal or plastic anywhere on the bow, bowstring and arrows to conform to the rules of the prehistoric championship. Upon registration detailed rules and additional information about accomodation, camping, hospitality and pre- and post-tournament activities will be sent to you.

 

Atlatl Tournament 28th of April

Sunday morning the Atlatl tournament will be the second part of the prehistoric championship. Again thirty spears will be thrown, same course as on Saturday.

Registration starts on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. , registration fee for the Atlatl is € 15,-, Archery + Atlatl € 25,-

Participation limit is 100 people.

Registration ends 10:00 a.m.

Atlatl tournament starts 10:30 a.m.

Deadline for submission of scorecards 14.00 p.m.
